The artist Alfred Banze is the initiator of the Banyan Project. He invited me to paticipate and so I asked him to take my 'Banyan-Sash' and wrap some Banyan trees on his way with this red, white and blue plastic cloth. He took my Banyan - work on his project-journeys all over the world along the banyan belt and shot some photos.
The Banyan Sash includes 5 m long Sash, toys, photos (the Story of the German Banyan).

touring exhibition - THE BANYAN TREE ...
... starts in Thailand, goes to Cambodia, Germany, Tahiti, Fiji, India, Guyana and many other places. It shows paintings, sculptures, videos, photos and installations by more than 50 artists from more than 20 countries, all inspired by the Banyan Tree. They have been collected by the German media artist Alfred Banze. With the help of the collected works of art, he organized numerous workshops for children and young people in s chools, galleries, cultural centers and artists' studios. The exhibition displays both, the original artworks and the "Art Remixes" ; by children and young people.
